Well it is officially summer and I am back in the real world. I have to work all day plus go to summer school. Ya I know, tell me about it. I have been doing a little bit of fishing but that only calms my nerves so much. I have already began my countdown until duck season. Wish it would get here faster.

Summer is so close I can taste it. I only have a week and a half left of school then it is back to Memphis to work and fish all summer. I have only been able to fish at the little pond behind my neighbors house yet and have caught some fish only about 1 – 1 1/2 pounds but it is better than nothing. I am looking forward to some fishing trips we have planned this summer so keep updated for more info.

Well, between turkey hunting, bristol motor speedway, mud nationals and fishing, I have been having/will have a crazy spring. I am ready to put an end to this awful turkey hunting steak, go bow fishing, hit the coast for the reds and specks as well as maybe even fit in a trip to taladega. If you get a chance to YouTube Mud Nationals, please keep in mind that I will probably come back there without a bike.
Sorry I havent written a post recently. Apparently living in a gated neighborhood does not mean your car will get broken into. I found this out because last Friday I had my backpack stolen out of my truck and it had my laptop and all of my school notes in it and thats all they took; not my iPod, radar dectector, or cd player, just my backpack. So if anyone has any idea who it was let me know( haha only joking). I guess I shouldnt expected anything less living in Memphrica ,than getting my car broken into the 2nd night I was home. Well on a more upbeat note, I am anxiously awaiting Ward’s return from the NASCAR race to start chasing after those gobblers.

Boredom, cabin fever, or whatever you want to call it has set in with me. Weather has been good enough to fish everyday, nothing to hunt, just plain going crazy setting inside. I have been scouting for turkeys and fished a little. This is the month and a half that drives me nuts every year. I usually just go through my old hunting sutff, clean every inch of my guns, and so on just to stay sane. What do you do to pass the time before the next season?

Is anybody heading to it? I am more than excited. I have friends from Ole Miss meeting me there and even a buddy from Phoenix that I went to high school with is tagging along. I am not going to lie, Nashville is a wild town and I look forward to some WILD times. Let us know if you are going to be there, we aren’t doing a booth, we will be on foot throughout the convention. Here I am at 2 oclock in the morning “studying” for two tests that I have on Wednesday and wishing school was out. I am getting excited about turkey season edging closer and closer. Although with all of the work I am trying to get done to graduate college it feels like school is never going to end. At least during hunting season I have something to take my mind of exams, papers, and homework. Turkey season and a little bit of warm weather to start fishing seem to be an eternity away. Well I hope everyone will take their minds of of school and work and start scouting those gobblers here pretty soon. So until then..
