Jody Acosta
Jody is a 23 year old native of Greenwood, Mississippi; a place he refers to simply as "God's Country" for the abundance of wildlife and outdoor opportunities around him. Jody is a Senior at Ole Miss currently finishing his internship to receive his degree in Criminal Justice. Jody has been obsessed with the outdoors for as long as he can remember and some of his fondest memories are those of deer hunting and duck hunting at "the farm". Jody has worked for both Outfitters and a Professional Retriever Trainer to further his education in the duck hunting game. Jody has Duck hunted in Mississippi, Louisiana, North Dakota, and Arkansas but he hope's to add many more states (and countries) to that list in the near future. One could argue though, Jody's number one passion (next to duck hunting he says) is bowfishing. Jody and team travel across the south shooting tournaments and bowfishing for fun. Jody has shot some of the best fisheries in the country including those in Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, and Arkansas. Jody is the past president of the Bowfishing Association of Mississippi and organized several club tournaments during his tenure as president. Jody and team bowfish out of a custom 18x8 American Airboat powered by a 496 Marine levitator motor so when they fish, it is in style and comfort!
